Mercedes-Benz CLA
- To acquire a major chunk in the luxury car market of India, the German luxury carmaker is planning to launch a series of compact luxury cars including CLA-Class and the GLA Class. The company already introduced the A-Class and B-Class, and is all set to unveil the new CLA compact luxury sedan at the next year's Indian Auto Expo.
BMW 3 Series GT
- The all-new BMW 3 Series GT will be the company's next big product to be introduced in India by next year. The same will also be unveiled at the 2014 Auto Show. It will be a locally produced product, which will help the company to keep its costs down. It will be the seventh product to roll out from the company's Chennai based plant. It is likely to be powered by the 2-litre diesel powertrain producing 184bhp, while the petrol model gets a 2-litre engine that puts out 306bhp. A performance oriented 3-litre engine could also make its way to India, which is capable of developing 306bhp. The engines will be mated to an eight-speed automatic only.
